sector_
sets:

Typical sector sets:

Often focusing on a skeletal volume structure first, each block is then set, tested and tweaked.

virtual_
block_ analysis:

Block analysis:

Various experiments in analysing block structures off the wall.  Deconstructing the topology of a block through 2D section analysis.

Complex structures can be reduced to understand necessary body positions and trend lines.

volume_ form_ modelling:

3D modelling and exploration:

Exploring form, volume configuration and geometry through model making and CAD.

Setting with volumes or on walls with variable angles often leads to working with/ around intersecting planes, where different surfaces meet. This can be highly conducive to interesting movement if understood correctly.

Developing 'off the wall' understanding of structure and geometry through design seems to be a beneficial project.

workflow &
rough_working:

Sketches, diagrams and off the wall planing.

fast_
moves:

A series of dynamic movements from recent sets:

Bringing more complex, dynamic movement into the commercial environment can be divisive. In order to accommodate for the wide range of morphologies, strength and skill levels that make up the commercial client base, these types of climbs can be set in each grade band.

Introducing climbers to more complex movement patterns earlier on in the gyms' grading scale, focusing on the quality of movement during the set.

Ideally generating accessible movement while maintaining the risk and complexity that often comes with this type of block.
